Welcome, ECFS families
Fall Semester: Monday 9/14 through Thursday 12/17
Details
- The program begins immediately upon school dismissal. A snack is provided to each student, with the younger grades also attending a free-play period on the rooftop or in the gym spaces. Classes begin between 3:30pm–3:45pm, depending on grade. Students are dismissed at 5:00pm Monday through Friday from the lower cafeteria. Each student must check out with their teacher before leaving.
- Please note: Friday Winter Ice Skating is dismissed at 5:30pm.
- There is an extended stay option available, where students may engage in quiet activities until 6:00pm at an additional cost of $16.00 per day. Anyone picked up after 5:15pm will be charged $16.00.
- Any child picked up after 6:00pm will incur an additional $25.00 charge.
- All school holidays are observed, and there will be no classes on days with early dismissals.
Drop-In
Our drop-in structure has changed to support more semester-long, project-based classes. As a result:
Only a small number of classes will allow drop-ins. Families who need occasional child care should enroll their student in one of our drop-in-friendly programs, specifically designed for flexible, as-needed attendance:
- Fun Lab (Pre-K–2nd grade)
- The Hub (3rd–5th grade)
A few additional classes may accept drop-ins, but Fun Lab and The Hub are the only confirmed options at this time.
Whenever possible, we strongly encourage families to register for semester-long classes, which not only offer richer experiences but also allow financial aid to be applied. Please check with the After School Office for availability. Financial aid is not available for the After School Drop-In Program.
Please also email your child’s classroom teacher and Bryanna Parker (bparker@ecfs.org) and let them know that they will be staying after school.
Financial Aid
Families utilizing their apportioned financial aid will not initially see the program cost reflect the financial aid contribution upon enrollment. Following enrollment and the $25.00 deposit, the School will apply financial aid to the account. After financial aid is applied, the remaining balance will be due at the end of the second month of the semester (e.g. February 27, 2026 for the Spring 2026 semester).
Refunds and Cancellations
If you request a refund after your child’s first session, the School will provide a 100% refund, deducting only the cost of that initial session less the $25.00 deposit. Following the second session, families are eligible for a 50% refund. Refunds are not available after the third session.
