This November, Fieldston Lower hosted the Celebration of Books (COB) — a time when students, teachers, administrators, and families could pause to appreciate the joy of reading.

Throughout the day, students — dressed in cozy pajamas — visited the book fair set up in the lower gym and “window shopped,” jotting down book titles they were interested in adding to their wish lists.

There were yummy snacks, read-alouds by visiting children’s author Josh Funk, Fieldston Upper Tutor Tots, principals, and even a few parents/guardians, arts and crafts, and book shopping! By the end of the night, students left Fieldston Lower with cherished memories and maybe even a few new books!
