Fieldston Lower Shares Love with the Local Community

Fieldston Lower Principal Joe McCauley shares: “2nd Grade Teacher Melanie Corcino established a lovely partnership with our neighbors at the Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Riverdale. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our students are not able to visit in person. Melanie and her class discussed ways to brighten the residents’ days and help them feel connected to their community. The class decided to send Valentine’s Day cards and sweets, and other 2nd Graders participated as well. We hope to deepen and continue this partnership in other meaningful and creative ways.”
