Over the summer, the Fieldston campus and Ethical Culture building saw many exciting improvements! Our Operations, Facilities, and Tech teams have been hard at work preparing our classrooms, fields, and community spaces for students and faculty to return this fall.
As Fieldston Middle and Fieldston Upper students return, they’ll be greeted by a revamped Upper Field, featuring a brand new playing surface and updated field graphics. The improved space will be ready for early morning practices, outdoor P.E. activities, and a warm welcome to alumni during Homecoming. Nearby, the JV Gym has been upgraded with a new HVAC system and flooring, while the Swimming Pool locker rooms have also been renovated.
Improvements in the 300s art gallery include enhanced lighting and display systems designed to better showcase our students’ incredible work!
The classrooms at Fieldston Lower are looking brighter with updated lighting, fresh paint, and new bulletin boards and flooring. In addition, classrooms at both Fieldston Lower and Fieldston Upper feature new floor-to-ceiling whiteboards providing ample space for creativity, brainstorming, and collaboration. We’re also excited about the new SMART boards being installed in every classroom, ensuring that faculty have access to the latest teaching technology.
At Ethical Culture, students will enjoy new flooring, basketball hoops, wall matting, and a brand new view overlooking Central Park in the revamped 6th Floor Gym!
These are just some of the many exciting updates, as our School continues to invest in critical infrastructure, including energy-efficient lighting upgrades, electric vehicle charging stations, and enhanced campus safety technology. We can’t wait to welcome you back to a safer, more sustainable campus in the fall!
